Monitoring of Soil Nutrient Levels by an EC Sensor during Spring Onion (Allium fistulosum) Cultivation under Different Fertilizer Treatments

Balanced nutrients are essential for healthy plant growth, but there is no sensor available to monitor such as N and K. Electrical conductivity (EC) one of the key parameters that could be adopted nutrient contents because soil EC influenced by nutrients. Therefore, main objective this study was examine effects different basal fertilizers, including inorganic, organic, compost application ratio additional fertilizers on with an sensor. The applied fertilizer ratios were 30:70, K 40:60, 20:80, respectively, each treatment. results showed value positively associated water content. response increased inorganic fertigation, it correlated soluble exchangeable ammonium. correlation coefficients between nutrients, nitrate, ammonium nitrogen 0.87, 0.86, 0.65, respectively. principal component analysis (PCA) also elucidated EC, Na, Ca, Mg, nitrate among variables. This work suggests especially N, monitored sensor, status regulated promote better growth.
